Dutch producer Joram Metekohy, better known as Wildstylez, has quickly risen to become one of the most respected names within the hardstyle scene. Now he presents his debut artist album ‘Lose Control’, a journey through his versatile and exciting sound fusing his trademark hardstyle flavours with tinges of electro, trance and house, and featuring a number of collaborations with a wide and varied range of names, both from within and outside his respective scene.
The momentum of the dark euphoric jitter, ‘Lose Control’ is already well under way, with the first two singles to be taken from the album causing some major hype in the wider dance music community and beyond. ‘Lies Or Truth’, a collaboration with fellow hardstyle taste-maker Brennan Heart, and the first single to be taken from the album, has already been playlisted on leading Dutch radio station SLAM!FM for seven weeks straight, and annihilated the competition in the popular ‘Make Or Break’ competition on Radio 538, gaining one of the highest scores of the month. Second single ‘Turn The Music Up’, featuring the talents of fellow Dutch master Audiotricz, has received heavy support from a wide array of names, including Tritonal, Vinai, Jochen Miller, and W&W, the latter playing it to massive crowds during their set at Miami’s Ultra Music Festival. Such major support is solid testament to the diverse and widely appealing sound that Wildstylez is cultivating, and certainly bodes well for the future. As the first hardstyle act to gain not only major daytime radio play, but also gold and platinum sales awards for his track ‘Year Of Summer’, Wildstylez is making it very clear that he knows how to spread his wings and excite the ears of a new generation, while still sticking firmly to his roots.
With some massive live events lined up over the next few months, including Tomorrowland, both the Finnish and Estonian legs of WKND Festival, Mysteryland, and a mainstage slot at the renowned festival that is Defqon.1, it certainly looks like being an enormous summer for Wildstylez and the album that should see him propelled into even greater heights.
‘Lose Control’ is out on Wildstylez own Lose Control imprint on 12th June in both digital and physical formats.
