As two of the Netherlands’ foremost representatives of the global dance music scene, Armin van Buuren and Blasterjaxx are no strangers to one another. Having musically connected several times in the past few years through debut collab ‘Tarzan’ and three Blasterjaxx remixes of Armin van Buuren’s tracks, the A-list acts now drop their highly-anticipated sophomore collaboration: ‘Superman’ (feat. 24h).
Somewhat of a spiritual successor to Armin van Buuren’s 2018 smash ‘Blah Blah Blah’, ‘Superman’ confidently stands its ground as Armin van Buuren and Blasterjaxx’s second-ever, stage-destroying link-up. Debuted at the mainstage of Ultra Music Festival in Miami earlier this year, ‘Superman’ hammers down hard to instill hope, resilience and strength into all who need it.
“I was really excited to work with the Blasterjaxx boys again, as I felt it had been long past due”, Armin van Buuren says. “I can’t wait to play this track as often as I can through the summer.”
“After the success of ‘Tarzan’, we felt it was time for a new festival banger”, Blasterjaxx add. “We feel super thankful to Armin for believing in our skills to work on this track with him.”
Armin van Buuren has long been a global ambassador for electronic music. The five-time #1 DJ in the world and current #3 has seven full-length artist albums to his name and continues to cultivate a massive worldwide following through his weekly A State Of Trance radio show, event series and album series, reaching 40 million listeners from 80 different countries on a weekly basis. Armin van Buuren also headlines leading festivals and venues around the world, including Electric Daisy Carnival (Las Vegas, New York), Ultra Music Festival (Miami) and Tomorrowland (Belgium).
Composed of Thom Jongkind and Idir Makhlaf, Dutch DJ/producer duo Blasterjaxx has long been at the forefront of the electronic music scene. Known for their energetic sound, big synth riffs, enormous builds and killer drops, the pair indulged in stage-wrecking performances at premier festivals such as Ultra Miami, Tomorrowland, Parookaville and EDC Las Vegas, all the while hitting #1 in Sweden and South Africa with their double-platinum single ‘Faith’ and consistently charting in DJ Mag’s annual Top 100 DJs list.
