Legendary duo Chocolate Puma drops another dance classic: ‘I Could Be Wrong’
Legendary Dutch DJ/productional duo Chocolate Puma has just released its newest single ‘I Could Be Wrong’ and just like their career, this is one you won’t easily forget..
Now these guys know how to drop classics, they’ve almost invented it as they started out producing music in the early 90s, delivering club hits under several artist names. Most famous are probably The Goodmen and Jark Prongo –just check these names on the web and find out some amazing oldskool house music!
Well, as they helped shape the original house genre, the duo always kept on producing up-to-date tunes under the name Chocolate Puma. Recently, as oldskool house sounds have gained popularity again, this resulted in several big releases, including the late 2014 single ‘I Can’t Understand’, a collab with Firebeatz, blending their electro sound with the Puma’s groovy house vibe.
‘I Could Be Wrong’
Now the Dutch duo is back on solo duty, bringing an amazing house track titled ‘I Could Be Wrong’, which immediately got support from loads of DJs. Ranging from house jocks like Oliver Heldens, Don Diablo, Bob Sinclar, Michael Calfan, Sander Kleinenberg, EDX and Junior Sanchez to mainstage heroes like Diplo, Hardwell, Quintino, Laidback Luke, A-Trak and Krewella, this is a tune that swooshes all over the place.
On the one hand it’s vintage house music, including classy piano chords and soulful vocals, while the groove and bass line keep things contemporary. The result is a match made in club heaven; solid dance music from the holy vaults of Chocolate Puma.
And then there’s the video, cool visuals of a piece of hardware spitting out the sounds and lyrics that come with ‘I Could Be Wrong’. Surely one of the most original lyric videos in recent time, but please be the judge of that yourself..
