Gregor Salto & Wiwek release new track ‘Miami’

Dutch house legend, Gregor Salto teams up with up-and-comer, Wiwek to bring you a funky summer tune entitled “Miami”. This electro record combines Latin vibes with melodic house and exotic, bouncing basses. It will have listeners yearning for a trip to the beautiful, party-infested city in the great Sunshine State or reminiscing about their past experiences either lying on the white sand of South Beach or clubbing with friends. “Miami” is being released just in time for festival season so you can expect to hear it in DJ sets throughout the summer!
This is the third collaboration between the two Dutchmen, “On Your Mark” and “Afrobot (Wiwek Remix)” being the first two. “On Your Mark” was one of the most played tracks at Ultra Miami 2014 so it only makes sense that the name for this new tune is “Miami”. It is evident in the production just how much chemistry these two have formed in the last few years – Salto’s signature Latin House sound blends very well with Wiwek’s tropical and electro combination. This track shows just how open-minded and versatile both artists can be.
Gregor Salto has been around the electronic music scene for well over a decade now. Known for his distinct Latin House sound in tunes such as “Mas Que Nada”, “Paris Luanda”, and “Damelo”, this Grammy-winning veteran shows no signs of slowing down due to his ability to adapt and evolve as an artist without compromising his sound. He has collaborated with and remixed pop stars such as Pitbull, Rihanna, Rita Ora, and J-Lo. Not only is this adaptability true in his productions, but it is also apparent in his DJ sets, especially “Salto Sounds” a weekly podcast he started over two years ago to showcase new music and talent. While touring the world, he also manages to run his own label – G-Rex Music, an imprint of the Dadadam label group. At a time when young producers are flooding the electronic music scene, Salto is able to hold his ground and compete with all of these artists that are at the top or on the rise.
The past year has been very successful for Wiwek, as in addition to his collab w/ Salto; he has had several massive releases including “Salute” on Tiesto’s label, Musical Freedom, “Ground Shake” on Mad Decent, and his “Jungle Terror” EP on Spinnin’s Barong Family Records. You can expect a big second half of 2015 for this aspiring musician.
