Curbi & Bougenvilla - Butterfly Effect

The triple threat of solo artist Curbi and duo, Bougenvilla are back with a new funky tune, ‘Butterfly Effect’. ‘Butterfly Effect’ is their fourth collaboration and it is absolutely rockin’. The steady, high-energy percussion pattern leads up to the groovy breaks, and then drops into some futuristic basslines. The record fuses both artists’ signature future house basslines with nostalgic, hip-hop scratches and beats… a perfect combination that will leave listeners thinking about their favorite hip-hop tunes from the 90’s. ‘Butterfly Effect’ has already received massive support and was premiered on Oliver Heldens’ ‘Heldeep Radio’ back in September.

16-year-old Curbi is an absolute prodigy in the world of future house. The teenager has already had five releases on Spinnin’ and has several more lined up for the next few months. In the last year he has remixed Pep & Rash and Showtek, and has collaborated with Fox Stevenson. Not to mention he has a big collab with the legendary Moguai on the way. Just two weeks ago at the Amsterdam Dance Event he graced the stage at four different events: Heldeep, the Apple Store, Spinnin’ Records secret showcase, and Q Factory. Keep your eye out for this one…his future is looking very bright.

Shefida Nagel (22) and Jeremy van de Hoeven (21), the two who comprise Bougenvilla, are also youngsters themselves. They too have had an incredible 2015, releasing their first record on Spinnin’ called ‘Homeless’ and receiving loyal support from the legend of future house himself, Mr. Oliver Heldens. They also released an original collaboration on Tiësto’s label, Musical Freedom and did a guest mix for Pete Tong on iHeartRadio. This will be their third track on Spinnin’; their first two individually amassed ½ of 1 million plays on Soundcloud. We can expect ‘Butterfly Effect’ to achieve a similar feat. They performed at three different events during ADE and will be traveling to the likes of Belgium and the UK in the next month.
