On Sunday March 8th, which is marked as International Women’s Day, as you probably noticed on the news yesterday, Mixmash Records opened its office-doors for womean who have the ambition to join the music-industry.

As a part of the long-running initiative within Mixmash ‘Equality in music: One Step In A Million’ last Sunday the Mixmash Academy – International Women’s Day special was organized. The initiative was created in order to contribute to a healthier work environment for women within the music industry. In addition to that, the record label welcomed a group of women with varied levels of experience and interests within the music industry to participate in several workshops.

It turned out to be a rather interactive afternoon with a lot of room for questions and sharing experiences. After the workshops they set up an open DJ booth where serveral DJ’s pleased the ears of the crowd with some music.
