Fedde Le Grand, Stuk TV, Matroda & many more at Liberty Dance stage Freedomfestival Zeeland!
In case you’re not aware, at the 4th of May all Dutch people are silent for 2 minutes to remember the victims of all wars. On the 5th of May, the next day, there are Freedomfestivals throughout the country to celebrate that we’re living in freedom now with musical acts, creativity, lectures & much more! Like we’ve done for 3 years in a row now, we’ll be covering the dance-music aspect of the Freedomfestival in Zeeland which is in Vlissingen. If you’re an international student, a music-lover of just plan to go to the festival this year, check below to discover this years line-up & to listen to some of their music!
Adrieno – winner of the local kunstbende (competition for local talent)
He’ll be warming up the day with electronic dance music. His first EP is coming out this year so we bet he’s gonna preview that on the 5th of May! To give you an idea of what you can expect, check out the set he did a while back for the Dancetour DJ contest.
Fedde Le Grand – Worldwide legend & ambassador of the Freedomfestival 2018
Fedde obviously needs no introduction! This flying Dutchman considered a legend with performances at basically every major dance-music festival in the world such as Tomorrowland and Ultra and he had an extremely special show a few years ago at Theater Carré which is one of the most prestigious locations in the Netherlands. Put your hands up for Fedde Le Grand, because you’ll be blown away!
Jarah Damiël – Future House
Future House is hot right now & that’s exactly what Jarah Damiël will be delivering at the Liberty Dance stage. Fun fact: He has played at the Liberty Dance stage in 2010 too, so he’s got 8 extra years of experience behind the decks now. He’s been supported by Pep & Rash & Bougenvilla who you might have seen in Vlissingen too if you attended the Freedomfestival a few years ago. ‘It gets better’ should be one hell of a tune in combination with sunny weather. Let’s hope the weather gods are in for a party too!
STUK – Youtubers & influencers, but also popular artists!
With over 1,6 million YouTube followers and over 250 shows they know how to throw a party! They’ve done diverse collaborations with Wolter Kroes, Kraantje Pappie and Tony Junior. A lot of new STUK-music is expected this year so don’t miss out on their performance! ”Wordt er nog OPGETURNT?!”
Amyntas – Up & coming on the edge of a break-through!
Amyntas is an act we’re very familiar with since Dancetour Goes a few years ago. He’s known for an energetic performance and the fact that he’s been supported by Don Diablo, Lucas & Steve and Tiësto should tell you enough. This is a big talent! The track below ”Out Of My Mind” is supported by Don Diablo.
Kajan Chow – funky house/techno
Kajan Chow has a collective amount of over 15 years experience behind the decks. He became the resident of a luxury restaurant owned by Sergio Herman in 2015. His style can be described as funky, jazzy and delicate techno. His mixing skills have been perfectioned after all those years of experience. He has performed in the USA & China so this is truly an international act! Check some footage of when he played at Freedomfestival 2012!
Karim Soliman – a blend of traditional chicago house with modern deep tech-house influences
Karim Soliman got his big break in 2011 when he won the Michel de Hey contest. He already played at Free Your Mind Festival, Pleinvrees & Toffler Festival so he knows what a techno-loving crowd wants!
Rowen Clark – tech-house
29-year old Rowen Clark knows his stuff. Besides DJ’ing he’s an A&R for the Chapeau Music label and he’s a resident of the Give Soul family. He’s gonna give you soul at the Freedomfestival!
Steff Da Campo – a house headliner!
Steff Da Campo might be familiar for you since he’s had a bunch of top 20 house-hits already like ‘Alright’, ‘Get Busy’ and ‘Chicago’. His latest track came out on Don Diablo’s Hexagon label and racked up over 100.000 views within 2 months so Steff will be surprising you for sure on the 5th of May!
Matroda – The closing act!
He’s only 21-years old, but already gained support from Diplo, Calvin Harris, Martin Garrix, Hardwell and Major Lazer! He released at Monstercat, Spinnin and UKF already so this guy is totally on the way up! An epic closing is guaranteed!
