Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) reveals its full ADE Pro online conference programme, featuring, among others, James Blake, Femi Kuti, Neneh Cherry, Robert Hood and Prof. Dr. Samantha Warren, alongside companies including Bandcamp, Beatport, Hipgnosis, Sony Playstation, SoundCloud, Ultra Records, UTA, VEVO, WME and many more.
Since the first lockdown, ADE has been exploring every avenue in order to create a meaningful ADE experience that respects the restrictions imposed by the Dutch government. This has resulted in a genuinely inspiring online conference, a new social business network, a free-to-access online experience and even a series of physical seated shows taking place in Amsterdam, made possible by the local government as part of the latest Covid-19 regulations.
ADE’s yearly business conference is, as always, packed with workshops, keynotes and interviews, and covers the most relevant topics from both a business and interpersonal perspective. The 2020 edition takes place online from October 21st – 25th and tickets unlock all conference talks, as well as providing a one-year subscription to ADE’s newly launched social business networking platform.
“While the industry attempts to adapt to a challenging new chapter in its long and rich history, ADE is convinced that this is the time to be optimistic, positive and constructive, without losing sight of the current realities. To this end, our conference program is dominated by emerging opportunities, solid, business-based reasons to be optimistic, strategies for coping with the psychology of a crisis, and constructive engagement with the challenges ahead.” Say Meindert Kennis and Jan-Willem van de Ven, ADE Co-Directors.
ADE Pro conference topics include; New Opportunities for Artists, Labels and the Live Industry, How Music Marketing Needs to Adapt in a Pandemic, The Technology Behind Triller, Activism and Music featuring Femi Kuti & Robert Hood, Sexual Misconduct and Gender Equality in the Music Industry, Music in Video Games and Synching and Sampling. The conference program will also look at modern piracy on the high seas with Pulitzer Prize winner Ian Urbina and his recently launched music project featuring Steve Rachmad and Vince Watson, as well as the astounding wave of musical creativity currently exploding across the African continent.
The ADE 2020 Digital Pro Pass grants access to the entire ADE Pro conference program as well as a year-long subscription to its social media platform. It also includes a hefty discount for next year’s edition and is available here.
