A stadium totally filled with fans and over 10 million people through the livestream saw dj/producer Hardwell make history on the 13th December with many special guests. With his ‘Worlds Biggest Guestlist’ he doesn’t only offer a spectacular show but also raises awareness for a huge issue in India; education for children.
During the event which took place Sunday 13th December at the D.Y. Patil Stadium in Mumbai, one of India’s biggest stadiums, Hardwell was united with over 70.000 to raise awareness for the lack of education in the slum areas of Mumbai. The impact of the event, massively covered by Indian press, shows the world that music is really capable of connecting people. Over 125.000 fans had registered to be present at this historical event and to create a better future for thousands of children.
Founders of the United We Are Foundation Hardwell and Anna Knaup, owner of Anna Agency, had together with the organisation Magicbus and Sheilendra Singh the goal to provide education for 3.000 children. Thanks to the generous donations of partners, businesses and of course the fans this goal has been more than reached and more 18.000 children will be able to go to school in India!
Besides Hardwell all cooperating parties for the ‘Worlds Biggest Guestlist’ event have donated their revenue to Magicbus. That’s also writing history, the first event ever in the Dance scene to offer humanitary support on such scale. After the success in India this concept might be organized again in several countries.
Ernst & Young, one of the ‘Big Four’ accountanting-officies did the check for the whole event.
